Po ponovnem odprtju ameriške vlade so številne letalske družbe izrazile optimizem glede vrnitve letov v običajen urnik, vendar opozarjajo, da prizadevanja ne bodo lahka.

Letalske družbe so izrazile optimizem glede hitre vzpostavitve normalnega delovanja nekaj dni po tem, ko bo FAA odpravila ukaz o zmanjšanju števila letov na 40 prometnih letališčih. Točen časovni okvir za to okrevanje še ni znan.

Kljub bližajočemu se koncu delnega zaprtja ameriške vlade je Zvezna uprava za letalstvo (FAA) zaradi pomanjkanja sredstev zmanjšala število letov na 40 letališčih po ZDA za 6 odstotkov. Opozorila prihajajo, da bi lahko ob morebitnem podaljšanju zaprtja prišlo do še večjih motenj v letalskem prometu.

Ameriška Zvezna uprava za letalstvo (FAA) je zmanjšala število letov, ki jih morajo letalske družbe odpovedati na 40 letališčih, s 6 % na 3 %. Ta ukrep je posledica izboljšanja razmer v letalskem sistemu po prekinitvi delovanja vlade, ki je povzročila pomanjkanje kontrolorjev zračnega prometa.

Ameriška zvezna uprava za letalstvo (FAA) je sprožila preiskavo, da bi ugotovila, ali so se ameriške letalske družbe držale nujnega ukaza o zmanjšanju števila letov na 40 večjih letališčih med nedavno zaustavitvijo vlade. FAA je opozorila letalske družbe, da jim grozijo globe do 75.000 dolarjev za vsak let, ki presega predpisano zmanjšanje, ki je znašalo med 3 %, 4 % in 6 %. Letalske družbe imajo 30 dni časa, da predložijo dokumentacijo, ki dokazuje, da so upoštevale odredbo.
