Venezuelan appointed as FIFA beach soccer instructor

For the first time, FIFA has appointed a Venezuelan to its team of referee instructors. Manuel Benítez, a Venezuelan football judge, was included in FIFA's list of international referee instructors, making him the first national to join this body. Benítez will serve as one of four beach soccer referee instructors designated by FIFA for South America. He has been a referee coach for CONMEBOL since 2023.
