Riccitello osvojil nagrado za najboljšega mladega kolesarja na dirki Vuelta a España, Vingegaard izrazil dvome zaradi protestov

Protesti v podporo Palestini so močno zaznamovali dirko Vuelta a España, pri čemer so organizatorji zaradi pričakovanih velikih protestov v Madridu skrajšali zadnjo etapo za osem kilometrov. Ekipa Israel-Premier Tech je poudarila, da kljub protestom ne namerava odstopiti od dirke. Protesti proti izraelskim vojaškim akcijam v Gazi so potekali tudi v severozahodni Španiji. V največjem mestu Nove Zelandije pa se je zbralo več deset tisoč ljudi na pro-palestinskem protestu, kjer so pozvali vlado k sankcijam proti Izraelu.

Ameriški kolesar Matthew Riccitello iz ekipe Israel-Premier Tech je osvojil nagrado za najboljšega mladega kolesarja na dirki Vuelta a España. Ta uspeh prihaja v času, ko so pro-palestinski protestniki večkrat ciljali na izraelsko ekipo in motili dirko. Jonas Vingegaard, zmagovalec dirke, je izrazil dvome glede dokončanja dirke v Madridu zaradi protestov, vendar je omilil pomen skrajšanega kronometra v Valladolidu na končni izid.

V Bilbau se je zbralo 50.000 navijačev, ki so s protestnim shodom podprli Palestino ob prvem nastopu njihove nogometne reprezentance na evropskih tleh. Tekma proti Baskiji se je sprevrgla v izraz solidarnosti proti izraelskemu genocidu v Gazi. Na shodu so udeleženci poudarjali vezi med Baskijo in Palestino, pri čemer so vzklikali gesla kot "Baskija, Palestina. Svobodne države! Ustavite genocid!".

Trener Manchester Cityja, Pep Guardiola, je podprl dobrodelno tekmo med Palestino in Katalonijo, katere namen je zbiranje sredstev za Gazo. Pred tem je bila odigrana tekma med Palestino in baskovsko reprezentanco, ki je s podporo 55.000 navijačev zbrala milijon evrov. Guardiola je poudaril, da ljudje v Palestini čakajo na pomoč.
