Posnetki iz Bondi Beacha v Sydneyju prikazujejo pogumnega mimoidočega, ki je strelcu odvzel puško. Ta junaško dejanje je morda rešilo življenja. Incident se je zgodil med judovskim praznikom, pri čemer je bilo ustreljenih 12 ljudi. Mimoidočega so pohvalili kot junaka, ko je obvladal strelca v primež.
